RHF is pleased to announce COVID-19 response grants

The Redlich Horwitz Foundation extends its gratitude to the NY child welfare community for its tireless work in support of children and families during this unprecedented public health crisis. Districts and organizations have risen to the occasion and are quickly adapting to this new way of doing business virtually. 

RHF is pleased to announce COVID-19 response grants to support 15 governmental and non-governmental organizations that span 12 counties across the state, including 2 organizations that work statewide. Grant funds of nearly $300,000 will be used to purchase more than 900 devices as well as technology tools for youth and families to ensure best practices in family-driven care can be achieved virtually. We believe these investments will help the child welfare system continue to support activities necessary for family-based placements, family connectedness, reunification and permanency in a time of physical distancing and beyond. Some of these new virtual protocols and practices that are enabled by widespread hardware and internet access are opportunities for lasting efficiencies in case practice and for the system as a whole.
